Gift ideas for little dudes
As is my everyday morning routine - I come downstairs to make breakfast but get sidetracked by turning on my computer ...which sits at the desk in the kitchen. This morning, the first email I read was from Melissa , my number-freaking-1-customer, who was informing me that my tail was highlighted on Etsy's HOME page.
What was my first reaction?
Clearly - I grabbed the camera. And, then I fumbled about trying to save the actual page, as tail orders began pouring into my inbox. Suddenly, I had visions of my entire shop selling out. I also had visions of paying for the very expensive car repairs we are currently incurring - solely with my Etsy earnings.
And, then... the tail on the Home page sold. & the fuss was over.
But, man - it was terribly exciting for 45.28 seconds!!
(which did result in four tail sales, and three tail commissions! It was still a rather profitable 45.28 seconds by all means!!)

Cool! Great screen shot with the camera, too. :)
Way to go Mama! I think that's so funny and cute that you grabbed the camera, that was some quick thinking!
HAHAHAHA!!!
Too bad they didn't keep it up all day, but yeah, not bad for 45 seconds!
I like being your "number-freaking-1-customer." WOO HOO!!!
way too cool, and i love those tails!!
That is SO cool!! Maybe you can fund your Holiday shopping off of ETSY sales. (=
We were at a baby store (cute specialty store)looking for little boots for Cabot and there were TONS OF TUTUS! I thought I would check them out to see how they looked, how they were priced, etc. They were kinda cute - but there were tons of the same designs and they were $58 a piece!! Yep, $58 - not as cute as yours and lots of look alikes. I have to say you are on to something with your tutus. (=
-- maybe you shoudl check with some of the specialty (a.k.a. ritzy) baby/kid stores in your area about selling them there!
Keep up the good tutu work - I have a friend expecting in January and I am SO HOPING it's a girl so I can buy girly stuff. (=
Shena (=
P.S. One of the tutu designs had sparkles on the top layer, they were cute and sparkly but could easily be chewed off by a little kid. If you can think of a way to make them not chewable - or just warn parents of the chewable factor for baby/toddlers - you should think of trying some sparklies.
oooh- more ideas.... can you somehow make the fluffy part look like flower petals. You could do fun summer-y flowers later - and poinsettas now for Xmas. What about pointed (triangle type) bottoms - you could do an xmas tree design. (=
That's so exciting. Well done. I was thrilled for you when I read this. We have a little tail of our own now too... but ours comes with a wag :-).
How exciting!
Congrats! The girls are enjoying their tails this football season. They just love all the attention they get from fellow UF fans! Here is hoping for lots (yet managable) of holiday tale & tutu sales!.
Yay! Now look who the celebrity is...
oh cool i am so excited for you!! dang girl...i thought i had this blog in my bloglines but apparently not!! hmph! adding it AGAIN!!
Oh very excited for you - And I am hearing you with the car repairs - my aircon just died and needs to be replaced! And is going to be a small fortune - and there is no way I am driving around in the middle of the Australian summer, pregnant and no aircon!
Stacey - just trying to track down an email for you - but cant find one - so thought that this was the next best thing.
I was just wanting to ask nicely if I could use your idea from last year of Kenzies Little Advent Boxes. Credit for the idea will of course me sent your way and I will link back to last years post to it (if that is OK!)
My email is mealybugcreations@hotmail.com
Many thanks
Kylie
Congratulations my dear! This recognition is so deserved. Best wishes with expedient repairs.
